More Abortion Bulls***

President George W. Bush signed a partial-birth abortion ban into law, but no sooner had his ink dried, when a federal judge overturned it. Partial-birth abortion is a third trimester abortion technique which involves partially delivering the baby breach (feet first) with only the head left undelivered. The baby is held there (alive, moving, and with full feeling) and a pair of surgical scissors are jammed into the base of the infant’s skull. The scissors are then opened, and rotated to create an opening. The scissors are removed, and suction is applied, sucking out the infant’s brain. The skull is then easily collapsed and the corpse can be fully delivered.

The federal judge said the reason for the injunction was because there was no exception allowing the procedure in the event it was necessary to save the life of the mother.

Newsflash: if the mother is about to die, why would you take the time to fire up the ultrasound (needed for finding the infant’s foot so it can be grabbed by forceps and yanked out), partially deliver the baby, jam the scissors into its skull, fire up the suction device, slurp out its brains, then crush its skull and complete the delivery? You WOULDN’T. If the mother’s life is in danger, and the baby needs to be out NOW, a doctor can literally perform an emergency C-section in 30 seconds. There is no circumstance when the mother’s need to kill her baby is greater than her need to live.

    Mark,
I wholeheartedly agree, The murder of children by this method is completely insane. I am opposed to all abortion, But this is monstrous. I don’t understand how a woman can feel the baby inside her see the features of the baby in an ultrasound and not look forward to seeing her baby born and held and loved. Putting aside religious issues, it is morally reprehensible that we allow the murder of human beings for the sake of the mothers inconvenience. I am a father of two girls, when I felt the movement of the babys in their mothers tummy I was overjoyed.
This killing of babies is going to bring down this society to our knees one day. I pray I am not here to witness it.

You make a good point. Although abortion is an issue very important to many religious groups, the issue can be argued without even bringing up religion. It is a humanitarian issue, it is a social issue, it is an ethical issue, and it is a racial issue (Planned Parenthood was started by Margaret Sanger, who supported an idea called eugenics, or selective breeding for humans in order to create a “better” human race).

Thankfully, about 77 percent of America wants partial-birth abortion banned, and it is my hope (and Planned Parenthood’s fear) that this will open the door to further restrictions. One of the best ways to argue against abortion is to ask someone if they think it is right to kill the baby as it is being delivered at full term… almost all will say “no.” And then ask if they think it is right the day before… “no.” Repeat ad infinium. Most people cannot nail down a certain instance when the fetus becomes irrevocably human, and that will probably make them rethink their position.

  3. Call me the “Permalinkinator,” you know you want to. Regarding partial birth abortion being “necessary” to save the mother’s life, here’s what I said back in November :Newsflash: if the mother is about to die, why would you take the time to fire up the ultrasound (needed for finding the
