You make a good point. Although abortion is an issue very important to many religious groups, the issue can be argued without even bringing up religion. It is a humanitarian issue, it is a social issue, it is an ethical issue, and it is a racial issue (Planned Parenthood was started by Margaret Sanger, who supported an idea called eugenics, or selective breeding for humans in order to create a "better" human race).

Thankfully, about 77 percent of America wants partial-birth abortion banned, and it is my hope (and Planned Parenthood's fear) that this will open the door to further restrictions. One of the best ways to argue against abortion is to ask someone if they think it is right to kill the baby as it is being delivered at full term... almost all will say "no." And then ask if they think it is right the day before... "no." Repeat ad infinium. Most people cannot nail down a certain instance when the fetus becomes irrevocably human, and that will probably make them rethink their position.

Mark,
I wholeheartedly agree, The murder of children by this method is completely insane. I am opposed to all abortion, But this is monstrous. I don't understand how a woman can feel the baby inside her see the features of the baby in an ultrasound and not look forward to seeing her baby born and held and loved. Putting aside religious issues, it is morally reprehensible that we allow the murder of human beings for the sake of the mothers inconvenience. I am a father of two girls, when I felt the movement of the babys in their mothers tummy I was overjoyed.
This killing of babies is going to bring down this society to our knees one day. I pray I am not here to witness it.
