My New Phone
Well, I’ve had it for a few days now, but I’ve been so enthralled by it, I couldn’t tear myself away from it for long enough to write something about it.
This is my new phone:

The phone is an LG VX7000.
Quick rundown of the features:
- 640 x 480 pixel camera
- LED flash for camera
- Camera can take video clips with sound
- Support for mp3 ringtones
- Voice activated dialing
- Raw sex appeal
It rocks my world. The camera, while not great by any means, still offers a quick and easy way of taking snapshots, and it’s quite cool to have the person’s face pop up on both color screens when they call. The voice dialing is very, very good. It can flawlessly distinguish between “Sarah” (my girlfriend), and “Sarahs” (my girlfriend and her similarly named roommate’s land line). The mp3 ringtones option is great. I’ve been downloading music and sound bytes, downsampling them to 48kbps mono mp3s, e-mailing them to my phone, and they sound great! It also has support for downloadable applications and games. Snood and Tetris for your phone? I’ll never be bored again.
