Maybe... just maybe... Bush has an IQ higher than yours making you unsuitable to judge the intelligence of his remarks?

You might just not be getting it.

Bush is above two standard deviations of IQ. From this point on, people quite quirky. Bush was just not very good in emulating the thoughts of the idiotic 95% of the population who is below his intelligence. You know... it's a very tiresome and faulty process for a genius to think like a moron.

It actually hurts my head all the time.

Ouch.

<!--%kramer-ref-pre%-->[...] The neocons side of the blog world is totaly rubbing are noses in the suposed superior grades/intelect of Cimpy Shrubsbush over election theft fraud victim John Kerry. Suprisngly there have been no mention of the fact that when Shrub wasnt busy being awol from the Texas rangers he was totaly being awol from Yale to!Here is the arcticle where you find teh money quote:Gaddis Smith, a retired Yale history professor who taught both Kerry and Bush, said in a telephone interview that he vividly remembers Kerry as a student during the 1964-1965 school year, when Kerry would have been a junior. However, Smith said he doesn't have a specific memory about Bush.I dont want to get in too conspiracy theroys but he (teacher) probly has no memory abou t Shrub becasue Shrubya Sr. (senior) bought Shrub education for him from Yale instead of earning it the hard way like Kerry. Also the neocons totaly dont give any mention to why Kerry grades seem so low:Based on what Smith recalls teaching that year, Kerry scored a 71 and 79 in two of Smith's courses. When Smith was told those scores, he responded: ''Uh, oh. I thought he was good student. Those aren't very good grades." To put the grades in perspective, Smith said that he had a well-earned reputation for being tough, and noted that such grades would probably be about 10 points higher in a similar class today because of the impact of what he called ''grade inflation."So as you can see what the neocon blog world is trying real hard to bury. Kerry was a stelar performer in Yale while Bush was awol (probly chasing women).Naturaly Decision '08 blog guy has it all wrong like the neocon blog world rest of the neocon blog world:UPDATE 2 10:04 a.m. central: During the campaign, you may remember, there was a fuss about Bush having a higher IQ than JFK II; now we find out he had higher grades, too. Um hello. No. See the thnig about Grade Inflation (which is ever rising under the Bush junta stupid education policys?)? Which meens that Kerry got really got 89 score while Shrubyus high score was only 88:Bush went to Yale from 1964 to 1968; his highest grades were 88s in anthropology, history, and philosophy, according to The New Yorker article. He received one D in his four years, a 69 in astronomySee. Chimpya got a D! That is liek one grade lower than C average (which I have. GPA 2.3).
<!--%kramer-ref-pre%-->[...] You've probably seen the blogosphere's reaction to the Boston Globe revealing John Kerry's marks to be lower than George W. Bush's. John Hawkins says "so what?", and while he has a good point, but I think he misses the point: these came out as part of Kerry's signing of SF-180, meant to clear up all the confusion regarding his short service in Vietnam, and all that the Boston Globe can talk about is Kerry's lower marks? Is this the bombshell that made Kerry wait this long to sign SF-180? Or is there a lot more to come? There are a few schools of thoughts here:1. John Kerry is the dumbest politician ever, a case made by Mark at Decision '08: During the campaign, you may remember, there was a fuss about Bush having a higher IQ than JFK II; now we find out he had higher grades, too. If this is REALLY the reason Kerry didn't release the records, then he is even stupider than his grades would indicate. To lessen his chance of winning the presidency because he didn't want his bad grades to come out - what, was he afraid Tee-RAY-za wouldn't fund the Spring Break fling if she found out? Come on...2. He's hiding something, as the Polipundit claims: There's "some more stuff" in the records that Kerry doesn't want out there. That's why he didn't release the records before - he's been trying to suppress information that's in the record.Note that the released records don't include critical information that could prove, or disprove, the Swift Vets' allegations...3. Despite there not being anything that could add anything to the Swift Boat Vets' claims, and despite them having been proved right a variety of times before, and despite the strong argument that there's something missing, in the interest of fairness, I'll include a left-wing opinion: Swift Boat LiarsStill liars.4. He didn't want the following photo to come out:We can pretty safely discount #3 and #4 (even though that is a bad, bad photo), which leaves us with two options: Kerry is an idiot, or Kerry is trying to play us for idiots. At this moment, Kerry is thanking his lucky stars that investigative journalism is virtually dead. [...]<!--%kramer-ref-post%-->

<!--%kramer-ref-pre%-->[...] UPDATE 2 10:04 a.m. central: During the campaign, you may remember, there was a fuss about Bush having a higher IQ than JFK II; now we find out he had higher grades, too. If this is REALLY the reason Kerry didn’t release the records, then he is even stupider than his grades would indicate. To lessen his chance of winning the presidency because he didn’t want his bad grades to come out - what, was he afraid Tee-RAY-za wouldn’t fund the Spring Break fling if she found out?
I think there are a number of misconceptions in these postings. 1) Linda Gottfredson is a recognised authority on IQ testing, but the comparison is in no way based on her own work--she merely said that Sailer's view was "credible"; 2) The Pioneer Fund did not fund Murray and Herrnstein's "Bell Curve" work--that was done by the Bradley Foundation (an arm of the American Enterprise Institute)--though Murray and Herrnstein did quote from a number of studies that were funded by the Pioneer Fund; 3) Given the fact that Bush and Kerry took two different tests (neither of them an IQ test), and that the difference in the scores is fairly slight, the best conclusion that can be drawn is that both men were probably of about equal intellectual ability (approx. +1.5-1.8 SD) when the tests were administered.
