Screw the Curse!
Ahhhhhh!! The Boston Red Sox just won the World Series! I’m freaking out here.
The Red Sox were down 3-0 in the 7 game ALCS against the New York Yankees, but came back to win 4 in a row. Against the St. Louis Cardinals, they performed a clean sweep: 4 straight wins, to clinch the World title.
Although only two teams have won more World Series than Boston (the Cardinals and the Yankees), this marks the first Red Sox Series win since 1918.
This one has been a long time coming.
Much has been made about the curse of the Bambino, a result of the Red Sox selling Babe Ruth to the Yankees in 1920.
