Take a Break
Oliver Willis has apparently made his site “All Armstrong Williams, all the time,” with an occasional “Ode to Almighty Obama.”
My advice to Oliver: slow down. The scandal is worth investigating, but O’dub is likely to burn out if he keeps this up. More likely, Oliver’s readers will tire of alternating “Williams bad!”/”Hail Obama!” articles.
If those on the right were ignoring the issue or being apologists for Williams, that might be a different matter. As it is, there are plenty on the right who are up in arms about this, so the megaphone tactics are somewhat superfluous. Also, Willis’ recent articles border on harassment, with the public posting of Armstrong Williams’ AOL Instant Messenger screen name. The man has had his column dropped, and he has been punished in the public forum for his lack of disclosure… there is no need to flood his computer with harassing messages. That will accomplish nothing, it’s merely vindictive.
