		<description>They&#039;re also designed to make people THINK that terrorism is being fought through such means.  The illusion of safety.  And yeah, the desire for safety stems from fear, and that fear will allow people to give up liberties so that the fear might be lessened (not a good thing).</description>

They are designed for one reason only---to keep the rabble frightened.

A frightened prolitariat is more likely to swallow futher erosions of their civil liberties and send off their young to the slaughter while letting the goniffs in the White House steal their money.

It&#039;s all about FEAR---and fear is a very useful tool for the Bush regime.</description>
