Better yet, have a truck in front and one behind for those cops that decide to sneak up on ya. It's called "sittin' in the rocking chair" because there's no worries.

It's obvious that you're a flatlander. That won't work in hilly states, like Cow Hamsphire, because the trucks just can't keep up the speed.

Should I ever find myself driving through some <strike>boring</strike> flat states, though, I'll keep this in mind.

Ahhh yes. Drafting. In a place like North Dakota, with roads long and straight, this tactic comes in handy.

One thing though: Never do it on a motorcycle. I'll tell you why:

After I graduated from high school my father and I took a motorcycle trip through some western states. We were cruising down I-80 through Nebraska (I think it was I-80, too lazy to check a map) going about 80mph. I snuggled in behind a semi to avoid a rather nasty headwind.

After about 20 miles of basking in the comfort of the truck's draft a strip of rubber came off one of the trucks mud flaps and whipped into my chest at 80mph. It left a huge welt across my chest and very nearly took off one of my nipples.

It hurt so bad I nearly dropped the bike.

Ticketing truckers also brings in more revenue, as the fines are generally larger.
