Hand-in-Hand

Tax cuts and spending cuts are two things that the government should do in unison. The problem is that Democrats like to spend like crazy, and tax the everliving crap out of America to pay for it. Republicans like to spend like crazy and let someone else worry about paying for it. Both parties have one thing in common: they like to spend money. No, scratch that… they love to spend money.
So while Republicans should be commended for cutting taxes, they should be chastised for spending like drunken lottery winners. It’s your money they are spending… and it would make your eyes bleed if you knew how much of it was being wasted, or spend on things that the government has no business funding. It’s time to cut the pork. Call your Congressman and let him or her know how you feel about the issue.
Oh, by the way, it’s really time people stop talking about how tax cuts “cost” money. If you pass me on the street, and you have $53 in your wallet, and I let you pass by unperturbed, would you say that I gave you a “mugging cut” that “cost” me $53?
