Site Move
I’m moving my site to a new server. It’ll be very slow until the move is complete (will likely take 6-12 hours for the DNS change).
Update: New server is running great… improving speed by a factor of 6 to 8. Most of you are seeing the old server, with only a couple dozen still seeing the old one. Hint: if the page takes more than half a second to load, you’re seeing the old server! 
The Planet? That’s the last place I’d move a site TO. But hey, it’s your site…

A+ Hosting. Dedicated server (3.0GHz P4 w/HT, 2GB DDR RAM, 160GB HDD).

Sadly it’s taking like 30secs. to load the page here.

Dynamic: 0.220 seconds | 22 queries (0.027 seconds) | 148 users online
Not my connection either.
Just did a speed test and got over 8mbps so…
Plus only site with issue I see atm…
How does it compare with icdsoft? You like it better? How is their technical support response?
ICDsoft is shared hosting, this is a dedicated server. Different beast. I am tech support.

Seems it was an issue with gzip compression. I turned it off and it sped right back up.
Sounds expensive. Are you paying $149/month?
I’m splitting it with one other person. I’m paying $50 a month (I pay less because I get less traffic and because I’m administering the server free of charge).
