Too short

I bite my nails. And I clip them. I actually only bite them when I can’t find my nail clippers. However it happens, they need to be short. Very short. I’ve tried letting them grow and it just makes me crazy. I’m okay with it.

Except when I’m not. Once every few months, I’ll bite or trim a nail with a little bit too much enthusiasm. Exposed nail beds are sensitive. It hurts… so bad. And every time I do it, I think “well that’s the last time I ever do that again.” You’d think that the pain — and knowing that it will only go away once my nail takes its sweet ass time growing back — would keep me from doing it again. You’d think.

So now you know what itch I’m scratching when I go through WordPress and remove redundant whitespace. Trailing tabs are like fingernails to me. They must be trimmed. WordPress trunk is currently called 2.2-bleeding. Coincidence?
