I think Debbie Schlussel was being sarcastic when she called these ħijāb-wearing models “SEXY” (her emphasis) and put fictitious quotes like “Death to America” as captions. Debbie…. these women are sexy. A woman doesn’t need to strip down to an itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini to be attractive. These women are wearing makeup, sport painted nails, and appear comfortable walking down the street with a $15,000 purse throwing a “come hither” look at the camera. They hardly seem like victims of Sharia. They look confident and strong. And they’re beautiful. I’d rather get an eyeful of one of them walking down the street than any of the garden variety trolls who parades their muffin-topped under-dressed corpulence through the typical American mall.

I agree, that the woman depicted is beautiful and attractive. The under-dressing that is so prevalent in our culture detracts from femininity and attracts appetites that turn women into objects rather than attractive persons.
A muffin top is when someone wears pants too tight for their figure, causing their stomach, hips/waist and back to spill over the top, like the top of a muffin spills over the top of the constrained portion.
I’m sure it goes without saying that the women who look even remotely like the photo above are the exception rather than the rule. If she wore that in some Muslim countries, she’d be beaten.
Still, I’ll grant you that she’s attractive. However, isn’t that the whole point of forcing women to hide their face and in most cases, cover their head and figure? To prevent a man other than her husband from finding her attractive?

You’re right Persian women are gorgeous, but then you haven’t seen any women from Syria yet. They are even more sexy and they are not so devout. So they play more with their veil, which makes them even more attractive.
My dad used to say that the most beautiful women in the world are from the middle east, Lebanon, especially.

Interesting topic, I think Charles is the only one getting the point here, second para rather then the first. Women who cover themselves do it to prevent this idea of women being objects and so on – and believe me here in the west we do nothing more then exactly that.
I will just state for the record, what some countries enforce and what Islam as a religion teaches can unfortunately be very far apart. For example there is no way a country should be allowed to force women to wear the Hijab – and with this it is not right for you to say that the Islamic Sharia is a victimising ideology as it is actually the misinterpretation of certain aspects that lead to this.
The comments by those pictures on the site you linked are absolutely ridiculous, she should be charged with religious intolerance (if that exists…).
I believe those photos were taken in Dubai which is a relatively modern and unislamic country although it is an Arab state. Indeed those women are beautiful, but check out most of the ones you seen in hajib in Palestine, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan. Check out their teeth.

Happily, we don’t have laws against “intolerance” here in the US of A. Not yet. But a certain group has been busy, busy, busy trying their hardest to have laws against “intolerance” enacted here. And that group had been wildly successful in much of Europe, where you may now rot in prison for 5 years if you say or write something that peeves one of its members.
And that after Americans fought and died to “free” Europe from nasty fascist dicked-taters.
And who is the group in question, who attempts to enact bogus “laws” against expressing your opinion or exercising your conscience?
“Oddly,” enough, that group is owned and operated by people like…. Debbie Schlessel! One of their front organizations is the ADL (Anti-Defamation League), which hires lawyers to craft “model laws” that attempt to bypass constitutional safeguards on liberty. With the other hand, these people give money and “sensitivity training” to police departments and take higher echelon cops (and politicians) home to their little dirt pile in the middle East where they may be safely indoctrinated. One of their chief ops is our current head of Homeland Security! You know, that evil-looking dude who resembles a cross between Nick Lenin and Leon Trotsky LOL.
Laws or not, I don’t mean to be “intolerant,” but it’s difficult not to appear intolerant when discussing this subject.

Mark, i dont think you know what you are talking about. Really I dont. You can go to Makkah or Medinah and you will see women like this. Not all but some. They arent beaten. Also the samet hing in Iran. In fact most girls in Iran dress like this…
