With a 50mm focal length, how in the world did you get that close?
This was a privately owned bird. I was about as close as the lens would focus. The bird was actually hard to photograph, because it would hear the start of the shutter noise, even before it had opened, and it would turn its head to inspect, blurring a lot of shots. Plus, it was low light, as the ISO should indicate.
