Subscribe to Comments 2.1
Subscribe to Comments 2.1 is a plugin that allows commenters on your blog to check a box before commenting and get e-mail notification of further comments. It is one of the most popular WordPress plugins out there for the simple reason that it helps foster a community around your blog by encouraging commenters to come back and stay engaged in the dialog.

- Users cannot enter a random e-mail into the subscription manager and modify someone else’s subscriptions
- In order to modify subscriptions, users need to use a special link, given in notification e-mails, and printed in the comments form as long as they have their comment cookie

Version 2.1 Update
Version 2.1 of Subscribe to Comments has a feature that people have been begging me to implement for many months: you can view the list of people who are subscribed to posts on your blog, and you can also see a list of the most “subscribed” posts. Also in this version is a new one-file install. You just put subscribe-to-comments.php in your /plugins/ directory, activate, and you’re done. This version will work on WordPress versions from 2.0.6 through 2.3.1 (highest tested).

- 2.1.2 Fixed a few bugs that’d send bad notifications (thanks Donncha!), cleaned up some code and moved to using proper WP escaping functions

1) to embed the Manage Subscriptions link the comment box (just like with this blog), you say to use [manager_link]. I tried the following but it just shows it as code/text on my page:

I would recommend changing the title of the “Subscriptions” link in the WP admin Manage tab to “Comment Subscriptions”. This would alleviate confusion with the “Subscribers” link for users like me that also use the Subscribe2 plugin.
I’ve modified your plugin for this purpose, but it would be nice to have that rolled into the plugin. Just more clear that way.

On my blog I’m not the author of each article and I don’t receive the email for tell me a new comment is post.
I think it will be normal that the admin receive a email.
It’s possible for the admin to receive a email for each comment post?

Subscribe to Comments 2.1 has a bug that doesn’t work with wordpress 2.2.x that are fr*esh installs. However, it works with up*grade from wordpress 2.1.x.
This has been an issue with many of users who falls in the former scenario.
We hope it could be resolved soon.

I have 2 freshly installed 2.2.2 blogs, and it works fine. I did however notice that it largely depends on the THEME you pick.
I searched hard for a theme in which the plugin would work.
I am using Cutline v3 or something like that and it doesn’t work with that one. Which one does it work with?

Yea, I tried all 3 cutline themes, no good. The one I use is ModernPaper-10. A simple 3column right, template. Click my link, then either of the 2 links on top to see it.
The plugin works right outa the box, no tweaking whatsoever. I’m REALLY hoping it still works when cPanel finally installs WP 2.3 for use.
