Hi there – I am not really html savvy. When you say “Verify that your comment form has the comment_form hook installed by inspecting comments.php in your theme’s directory”, how exactly does one do that. I have located comments.php, but do not know how to tell if the comments_form hook is installed or not.

I’ve revised my theory of what’s going on.

The problem is not with the FBConnect plugin (which I’ve replaced with a different FBConnect plugin).

The Gravatar link appears in Firefox 3.5.9 for Ubuntu Linux. It does not appear, however, in either Firefox 3.6 for Windows or MSIE 8, both running under Windows XP.

I installed this application, then logged out, opened a comment form, and verified that the gravatar signup link was present. That was yesterday, from computer A, using Firefox.

Today I decided to install the WP-FBConnect plugin, working from computer B, using Firefox. (I have not successfully completed the FBConnect installation.) When I looked to see if FBConnect appeared on the comment form for a not-logged-in site visitor, I discovered that the Gravatar link was no longer there.

It occurred to me that the FBConnect code I added to the comments.php file might interfere with the gravatar code, so I removed the FBConnect code. I still don’t see the gravatar link, though.

Does the FBConnect plugin interfere with the functioning of this plugin? Or is something else going on?
