Is there any way to preserve the permalink page without it redirecting automatically. Basically, it’d be great if this worked like Tumblr. Thoughts?

how can I get the page I link a url to to work in a url.

For instance, my blog is http://Shawnjohnsoninc.com .

The page on the navigation bar I want it to link to is myleadsystempro.

How can I get it to work as this link: http://www.shawnjohnsoninc.com/myleadsystempro

A note to everyone.

I have a fix.
Well… Not a fix of this plugin but a workaround using another small plugin.

I thought this plugin was the answer to my prayers. It is what I needed (badly). And, it didn’t work as I had the same problem where the link does not open in a new window.

I found another plugin that automatically has any EXTERNAL links open in a new window. It works for me. It will only open in a new window for pages outside your website. It does not touch any internal links. If that is what you needed, the plugin is here:

Great plugin, but there are a few things that could make it amazing…

1) Perhaps you could figure out a way to actually change the permalink as apposed to make it a redirect. For example FeedWordPress is a plugin that syndicates RSS feeds to setup new posts, and they actually change the entire permalink to become the original post of an external blog. The primary difference is that when you hover over a link in this case it points directly to the external source, as apposed to your current solution which points to the internal page and is then redirected.

2) I cannot get this plugin to work in a Multisite (MU) setup if I only activate the plugin on a per site basis (say with Multisite Plugin Manager for example). It only seems to function if I Network activate it.

Can some one please help tell me… I have not check the option where it says “Open this link in a new window”. But the links are still opening in a new window this is, if some one can please take a look at my site (LaCoQuillita.Com) and tell me where the problem is.

I use this plugin and it does link to my pdf folder, but i also choosed “Open this link in a new window” but that doesn`t work.

Looks like comment links are broken by this plugin. The user cannot click “Leave a reply” or the comment bubble to be taken to the page to leave comments.
