Australian road safety authorities are trying to ban an upcoming Xbox video game from sale in the country. The game in question is a street racing game, Project Gotham Racing 2, which features street racing on closed courses located in many international locations, including Sydney, AU. State Labor MP Paul Gibson, who is the chairman of the Staysafe Committee is leading the crusade, claiming that the game “[glorifies] speed and power” and “sends the wrong message to young people.”
The game has been approved by the Office of Film and Literature Classification, and given a rating of G. Apparently Gibson wishes to “unapprove” the game.
I’ll be sure to buy the game, go the wrong way on all the streets, and try my damnedest to crash my Ferrari Enzo into the Sydney Opera House. Just for you, Paul. 😀

You’re telling me.
Those damn Aussies are being ridiculous with their game-banning crusade.
I’ll be first to admit that I have no idea what kind of government Aussies have nor their culture, so over there it may not seem ridiculous.
For the record, I’m not getting Gothman 2 due to the fact that I don’t have a XBox.

“Government in Australia is three-tiered – Commonwealth (or Federal), State and Local.” from National Library of Australia. Sounds similar to our government. Australia, like England, is a country that has seen personal freedoms vanish in the interest of public safety. Both countries have banned guns, and both have seen an increase in crime because of it.

telegraph.co.uk: This is what happens when governments try to ban guns
If legislators get what they want, we’ll be next. If you think crime rates are high when everyone can have a gun, wait ’til you see how high they get when only criminals have guns! If guns are banned, no criminal is going to turn his in. Only the law abiding citizens will turn their guns in.
