Wow, that is cool. I put up a lot of images and I’m always worried that people are hotlinking them. I’d like to be able to stop that seeing as how my bandwidth is limited.
I wonder, would this also stop people from hotlinking video I have on my server? After the Nick Berg/Paul Johnson beheadings quite a few websites linked directly to the video off my server resulting in massive amounts of bandwidth for me with very few visitors. I was fixing this by changing the file name of the video and updating the links, but that’s cumbersome…

You can modify this to protect any file type, although you would have to modify the PHP code to inbed the video (can’t just use an IMG tag). You could also just block outright any external requests for video files, and redirect to a page that explains why.

Yeah, I’d really like to install this but it would take me forever to do.
Guess it’ll have to be a project for later when I have more time to sit and work on it.
