I don’t have much to add to this article about everything that is great and the few things that are trite in AMC’s Mad Men. It’s the best thing on television by far, and is not nearly as pretentious as the makeup of its obnoxiously laudatory audience would lead you to believe.

I started watching from the first episode, and watched the entire first season. I tried really hard to get into it, but I just couldn’t.
I don’t have anything against the show. Just not my cup of tea, I guess.
On the other hand, I’ve really been enjoying Sons of Anarchy on FX. Pretty good stuff, if a little overwrought at times.

My wife wasn’t into it either. It’s definitely not for everyone (in fact, I’m amazed it’s been on for so long, given its lack of “mass market” appeal).
Hadn’t even heard of it. But I’m a fan of some of FX’s other dramas. The Shield was amazing, and I’ve enjoyed Rescue Me.

I haven’t watched any of this season of Rescue Me because I missed the first few episodes. I have all the rest saved on DVR. I’m waiting for the first ones to come on Hulu so I can catch up and not be lost.
Frustrating.
