As I recall, it had a nice plastic cap on that end that was replaced. And I was sure to ask which end was the safe end. Silly question… would you pee right on the LCD?
I’m a night person, so that works well. Can take shifts. As for nights out, sans baby, I think we’ll be collecting a large list of capable babysitters and not hesitating to use them. We’re determined not to be that couple that lets their first baby paralyze them.
Congrats Mark, you’ll make a great dad! And good call on keeping the names private… he/she will be your kid, and you don’t really need everyone’s two cents on what to name them.
Exactly our reasoning. Once it’s on the birth certificate, we don’t have to worry about people second-guessing the choice. Well, not as much as if we announced the name pre-birth.
Congratulations to both of you. I wish you and your family the very best for the future. Looking forward to seeing the first photos (and, of course, some video) on here when the stork’s dropped off your package.
Cheers! π

Take it from someone who is naming their child, Indiana Crimefighter. People will think you actually need their input.

EEEEEEP!!!
The pool is now open for date/sex/weight. Can the winner name the baby??
Sarsays
No, but the winner can come clean out my guest room so the kid has somewhere to sleep.
This is so amazing. I’m so proud of both of you. Very exciting. Isn’t it amazing we live in a world where the baby’s scrapbook pictures begin inside the womb?
Ah, I see it now, a room filled with tons of tech humming away to calm the sleeping baby, along with MP3s playing womb sounds. Today’s baby raising!

Good for you. But now that we have three kids we look back and think, “what did we do with all that spare time when we had only one?” π

Congrats! My girlfriend and I are expecting around April 1st.
Seems I got married right before you two, (then divorced), and now I’m having a child, again, right before you.
Wondering if I should start looking for hidden cameras in my house! π
Anyway, congrats again. See you at WordCamp NYC
